The difference between 3D carbon fabric and aramid fabric
 Jul 18, 2022|View:34

3D carbon fabric and aramid fabric are two indispensable engineering reinforcement in structural reinforcement rings. For those who have just entered the structure reinforcement ring, the 3D carbon fabric and aramid fabric have no difference. They all improve the bearing capacity of the plate or beam and enhance the compressive strength of the beam guardrail plate The column head is reinforced or lifted by circular restraints on the cross-section structure. But in fact, there are some differences between the two in characteristics and application. So how can you tell the difference between 3D carbon fabric and Kevlar fabric?

3D carbon fabric

1. Different tensile strength

The key of 3D carbon fabric is made of carbon fiber material, the tensile strength of which is 3400 mpa, while aramid fabric is made of aramid fiber, the tensile strength of which is only 2100 mpa, 3D carbon fabric is better than aramid fabric.

2. Different electrical conductivity and their main uses

Aramid fibers do not conduct electricity, so it is obvious that 3D carbon fabric is not suitable for the construction of metro stations, factories, and other power-consuming machines, when carbon fiber is used to reinforce concrete buildings, it is best to ensure that it is protected from electrochemical reactions with the building's steel bars, while aramid fiber is not limited to this standard. When the structure strengthens the general building structure, the carbon fiber material has a remarkable advantage in the tensile strength and the elastic modulus stratification plane application.

3. The ability of weatherproof rubber to penetrate is different

Aramid fiber and material are both organic materials, which can work well together. 3D carbon fabric is an inorganic material, so its infiltration ability is different from aramid fiber.
