The UHMWPE in UHMWPE fabric stands for ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, also known as high-modulus polyethylene or high-performance polyethylene. This extremely long linear PE chain is produced by a transformation from the carbon-chains to the aligned-chain rationale and is created specifically for an optimal level of performance compared to regular off-the-shelf ingredients. This structure is what gives UHMWPE its outstanding properties:

Great tensile strength:UHMWPE is 10 times stronger than steel and still lighter, so it can bear loads without problems.

Low friction:The fabric has a low coefficient of static and kinetic friction, making it very suitable for purposes which require movement.

UHMWPE is chemically resistant: Unaffected by most chemicals, it is often ideal for rather nasty environments.

Low weight: The UHMWPE fabric is a very strong fabric but at the same time very light in nature, making its handling and transportation easy.
